Platform Statement - The Wild-Manifesto

Thanks again to all of you that voted for me in the 2007 elections. Being relatively unknown outside the state of Michigan, I was pleasantly surprised that I finished 5th in the voting for the four spots - only 179 votes shy of what I needed. It was enough to convince me to give it another try.

Since the PDGA gives us candidates somewhat limited space for our platform statements, I decided to dedicate some of my business web site to the issues that I feel are very important for the PDGA Board to address in the next couple of years. Click on any of the topics below  or at left to learn more about my thoughts on these issues.

1)      Sandbagging

2)      Better payouts for pros

3)      Television exposure

4)      Knee-Jerk rule changes

DISCLAIMER: I don't expect everyone to agree with me. If you strongly disagree, don't send me hate mail, simply vote for someone else. I don't mean that my solutions are the only ones I would ever consider, these are merely my opinions on these issues.  If there's one thing I've learned in the last eight years, its that for any organization to run effectively it is important to agree to disagree. Its even more important to know how compromise for the good of the governed.

I would not be running for the Board of Directors if I thought that I was alone in these opinions. Many of my suggestions were influenced by conversations I've had with other touring players, particularly at the Pro Worlds in 2007. I seek to be a voice for the touring players on the Board, and as such I am interested hearing in what you, the PDGA Member, have to contribute to the discussion. You can send an email message to me at: pdga_board@yeti-tech.net. I may not be able to respond individually to every email, but I will read them all.
