Crystal MountainLocation: 2 miles west of Thompsonville at the intersection of Lindy Road and M-115. Continue into the main resort entrance; take a right at the first stop sign. On the left is a large paved parking lot - off of the far right corner is the Mountain Adventure Zone (A-Frame / Chalet type building). The course begins at the base of the hill just outside the 'Zone, which also has discs for sale. Although located at a privately owned resort, disc golf is FREE to play at Crystal Mountain! League Play: Tuesdays, sign up from 5:30 - 6:00, tee off as foursomes are ready. Handicap singles format. You can play for free or compete for cash for $5 per player. Course Layouts: 9 Holes, three sets of tees on each hole. Water hazards on course: None. Target Types: Newer model Innova DISCatchers, with the extra set of inner chains. Tee Surface: Natural. Tee Signs: Tees are currently marked with colored stakes and golf tee markers; map signs will eventually be added. Description: course winds gradually up an easy ski run (Nason's Trail) to a spectacular panoramic view on hole #6 - on clear days, you can see Lake Michigan! The last two holes are gradual downhill monsters - measuring 1078' and 1220' from the gold (longest) tees. Other "park" facilities: click here to go to Crystal Mountain's web site.
